Christmas is next week!?! YIKES!

Here's Kierstens gift to her Kindergarten teacher. I had gotten some See's Peppermints to put inside the bucket but my car got broken into earlier this week and the mints were part of the stolen goods :-( along with some other gifts, my winter coat, and (insert crying here) 5 brand new rolls of vinyl and other great stuff from Ben Franklins.....wahhhhh wahhhh....Really, what could the people who broke in have to do with all those crafty goodies?!? Wahhhhh Wahhhhh!

Oh, sorry, went off on a tangent. Back to Ms. Seeley, she is a wonderful teacher and Kiersten adores her. I hope she likes the bucket. I used the free tag set at ScrapNFonts HERE and some bling and MS snowflake punches.

Thanks Mary Fish for the idea to make this masculine birthday card. Here example is HERE...it's much cuter but I only had 10 minutes and none of the stamps that she used :-)

The sentiment & paper I used for the circles was computer generated. The cuts were made using my Expression and the George & BS cart....I really need to get some more punches for easy stuff like circles and stars.
My sister in law asked for help making some quick invites for my nieces birthday and I think they turned out very cute :-) We used the George & Basic Shapes cart for the stars and a SU! butterfly punch....easy peasy!

Here's my version of The Pink Stamper's (Robyn) great card that she showed on YouTube. She is such an inspiration!! Check out her YouTube channel HERE and her website HERE - you will love all the videos and examples she shares on both sites!!!

Couple of cards....

I used my cuttlebug folder (swirls) and my cricut for the invitation above, and Stampin' Up! stamps for my moms birthday card below....I also used my newest friend - the nestability shape...can't remember the name but I love it!

Fun Crafts I've been working on....

Here's some pics....they've been held captive in my camera for way too long....
the Christ frame was made by my parents!! They totally rock, I just made the vinyl...then mom had a pretty little grouping of sailboats and the picture so the scripture seemed to be begging to go there...

The picture frame and wall words were a special project for a friend. She had this picture of her and her daughters cute painted feet (from a vacation I think) and I simply put their names and the hibiscus flowers on the glass. The created the quote for the wall in vinyl too (found it online, anon author) "A daughter is happy memories of the past, the joyful moments of the present, and hope and promise of the future"

Master Cricut List

Just A Scrappin' blog has a list of all the carts with active links to sample cuts and their handbooks HERE. Great for checking what ones you want or even seeing things you didn't know your current carts had!! Thanks Linda!!

Birthday surprises!

So, today's my Birthday and what a great weekend I had!! First, Wednesday I got the 7th book in the Womens Murder Club (James Patterson) - Mark said he had to give it to me early cause he knew how bad I wanted it and if I saw it for sale I would buy it...hee hee...and Friday I got the Cuttlebug (wanted for a very long time!!) - Thanks again honey!! And....Friday night we had dinner at the Olive Garden (my favorite) with some great friends (another surprise) and they brought balloons and flowers :-) Lovely!! Yesterday was Easter and I got to spend it with my parents and family and we had Birthday cake for my older brother, mom, and I!! Then....I know....there's more! Today I came in to work and saw this -

Cricut Expression...my friend and enemy!

Ah..I love my Cricut - both of them :-) Mom has the baby bug and I still love using it but the Expression allows me to do so much more and I love that too! But alas, I keep wanting the dang carts! On my wish list now is Storybook, Wild Card, and either Celebrations or Beyond Birthdays....can't decide and haven't had the time to check them both out fully. I did get Sure cuts a lot which is FABULOUS but for quick easy cards and pages I still love the carts!!

For those coming to the crop on May 2nd and 3rd, I will have 2 cricuts and 22 carts to play with!! FUN FUN FUN!

Teacher plaque

It's been a while and I am still learning how to link, upload, etc...go figure, I've been self teaching myself graphic design for 10 years - I've pretty much mastered Corel Draw (current version 14) and am moving onto AI and Photoshop but I can't figure out this stinking blogging :-) I just haven't had enough time to devote to it I think!! But I will get better!!

Here's a fun little plaque I did for a friend that's a teacher (1st grade) Used my Cricut Expression for the vinyl children (welded in DS), and words, flowers (came in a scrapbook pack from Sams Club) and stickles.

Skating with my girl!

I used to go to the Skate Connection (previously Melody Skating Rink) when I was little, so it's only fitting that I take Kiersten there for her pre-school skate party! We had a blast and of course, 10 minutes after we got there she wanted to do it all by herself and I was playing catch-up to take pictures!!

These were super fun, with the exception of a couple all-nighters and working the next day...that was tough, but look how cute!! So worth it! We had a marketing meeting and I made bags and notebooks for everyone.

This was one of the first projects I did with my Cricut (baby bug) and it had me hooked!! I now have the Expression and LOVE love love it!

So...I've been working on a scrapbook for work and here are a few of the pages :-) - oh, yes...I manage an Amusement Park in Washington - no, it's not always raining (smile) and here are some of the groups that we've held here.
Well, here I go....I'm blogging....I am going to upload some things I've been working on and keep playing with my new little blog and hopefully it'll blossom into something fun!! Fingers crossed...(wink wink)
